Our Process

Stage 1: Assessment and Quote

Whether you have a budget in mind or not, give us a call today to book an appointment for a no obligation quote.

During the assessment, a project manager from Maple Reno will sit down with you and take the time to understand what type of renovation you need and will be able to implement a plan based on your needs. From large scale renovations like creating an addition, to adding customized design elements to adding a wow factor to your home with the addition of mouldings or a modern ceiling transformation with unexpected design elements along with paint and lighting.

For renovations you also need to be aware that structural issues can be uncovered unexpectedly during the course of the work. Our project manager will explain how these will be dealt with and affect cost of your renovation.

A detailed quote can now be produced based on the specifications of your project. It will take account of the engineering, structural, design and aesthetic decisions you have made. It will also be based on price negotiations and quotes from tradespeople who have been briefed on your renovation.

Aside from any unknown issues, because of the previous detailed planning, your quote will be an accurate cost for the work to be carried out. Because Maple Reno has the best buying power, labour rates and building process efficiency, our quote will be very competitive based on the work required and the quality of finish expected.

Stage 2: Design

At Maple Reno, we specialize in renovations big and small. No job is too big for our professional design team. Our designers will discuss at length with you how the design will match the style you are looking for and the purpose of the space will also be discussed. We want your space to function as good as it looks and will consult with you to ensure your vision and our planning coincides.

The first step in the process is for Maple Reno to understand exactly what you want to achieve in your home and why you are considering a renovation. Maple Reno has a thorough and professional briefing process that we take all customers through. Our approach is to listen carefully to your requirements, and to ask questions to ensure we understand exactly what you are looking for, what is important to you and why these things are important to you.

It is best if both heads of household are involved in the briefing stage as often each person has different considerations and concerns, and these need to be discussed and agreed upon early on.

The next step is to translate your requirements into an architectural concept.

As a design and build renovation specialist, Maple Reno's role is to work with you to design and deliver the best renovation that you can achieve for the money you wish to spend. In the design and build process, your budget is just as important as your desired renovation outcomes. Therefore it is crucial early on for a clear 'base budget' to be established. Your budget may change during the design process as you make decisions on what you like and don't like and can and can't do without, but it provides an important starting point.

Traditional architectural line drawings are hard to visualise so Maple Reno provides high definition pictorial concepts so you can see exactly what will be built. If it's not what you imagined, this is the time to make changes. It's far more cost effective to get the concept first to avoid changes during the construction phase.

Even for small projects like bathroom remodeling, this exercise is invaluable. Will the new taps, showers, basins etc. leave the right clearances for doors and moving about? Will the floor tiles line up with and match the wall tiles? Will the shower have to be repositioned to meet the new requirements?

Stage 3: Build

During the course of the renovation, we will provide you with a project manager who is experienced with renovations and they will be your liaison during the construction and renovation process. In this way, there will be constant communication and you will be dealing with a project manager who is responsible and accountable to finest details of the project.

Your Maple Reno project manager will brief the tradespeople on the project and schedule and manage their activity. Renovating is a complicated process and trades need to be constantly re-scheduled during the process. Maple Reno has a team and network of tradespeople so we can ensure the project is not held up because the plumber doesn't turn up or it rains and the painters can't work that day.

It is very important that each trade has completed their work to the right standard. Your Maple Reno project manager will ensure this has happened at each stage to make sure there are no quality issues or disputes at the end of the project.

Building something from scratch can be costly and time consuming. Project manager at Maple Reno will work with you to ensure the project is completed within the agreed scope of timeline, and will also ensure the project stays on budget. Our contractors are aware that various issues may arise during the course of the renovation. As a result, our contractors set some money aside for a contingency to help offset the cost of unexpected additional costs from consuming your budget.

Call Maple Reno today to discover why we are leading the way in providing exceptional service to all of our valued clients.
